87 days a year over 90°.
How many of those calls got answered?
Your techs are in somebody’s attic. The phone rings anyway. The homeowner with no air conditioning in August does not leave a voicemail — they dial the next contractor on the list, and you never learn they called.
No call required. Nothing to sign. Every finding is something you can check yourself in under a minute.
The weather here does the selling. The phone decides who gets paid.
Two seasons, two emergencies, one shared failure. Every one of these is a moment where the customer has already decided to buy and is choosing purely on who picks up.
About 87 days a year at or above 90°F, 32 at or above 95°, and six at 100° or hotter. A dead compressor on a Saturday is not a scheduling conversation.
NWS Shreveport39 days a year at freezing or below, and below 15°F about once every other winter. A January 2026 winter storm hit all four parishes in this metro at once. Every plumber’s phone rang the same morning.
NWS Shreveport; NOAA Storm EventsThe 149 plumbing and HVAC firms in this metro average around eleven people — and the revenue-producing ones are inside a crawlspace. This isn’t a discipline problem. There is nobody there to answer.
Census CBP 2023What we actually found on Shreveport and Bossier contractor sites
On 2026-07-27 we opened seven local HVAC and plumbing websites and wrote down what loaded. Two had no booking step at all — on one of them, the only “Get Started” button led to a financing application. One had no social presence of any kind. One had no hours, no form and no emergency statement; its scheduling instruction was the phone number. One footer still read © 2024. One site would not load for us at all — and that business has hundreds of five-star reviews sitting there, doing nothing, behind a door that won’t open.
We don’t name them. Findings about a specific business go to that business, and nowhere else. If one of them is yours, the audit will tell you which line is about you.
What the unanswered ones are worth in a Shreveport summer.
Move the sliders. The arithmetic stays on screen and we show a range, not a number — one of the inputs is an assumption we can’t source, and pretending otherwise would be the trick everyone else runs.
The Shreveport–Bossier Growth Audit.
A 100-point Capture Score across the five gates a customer has to clear to become your customer. A person does it, not a scanner. Free, and every finding comes with the steps to verify it yourself.
FOUND — 25 pts
Map pack position, Google Business Profile completeness, local pages, and whether ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers know you exist and get you right.
TRUSTED — 20 pts
Review count, rating, velocity, whether anyone answers them, and whether your name, address and phone match everywhere they appear.
CONVERTS — 20 pts
Mobile experience, page speed, whether there’s a next step above the fold, and how many taps stand between wanting you and booking you.
ANSWERS — 25 pts
The heaviest gate. How fast a real inquiry gets a real response, what happens after hours, and what happens to a call nobody picked up.
FOLLOWS UP — 10 pts
What happens on day two. Most businesses in this market score zero here, and it is the cheapest thing on the list to fix.
What you get back — free
Your score, three to five specific findings with verification steps, a revenue-at-risk range, and a fix-first plan separating free DIY from paid work.
The ones you’re actually thinking.
We already answer our phones.
Then your ANSWERS score will be high and we’ll tell you so. What we usually find on jobs where crews are in the field is that the daytime line is fine and the 6pm-to-8am window and the second-simultaneous-call are where the losses sit. If that’s not true for you, the audit is a two-hour cost to us and a clean bill of health to you.
Isn’t an answering service cheaper?
Sometimes, and if that’s the right answer for you the audit will say so. Two things to check on any quote: whether it bills per minute with calls rounded up to the next full minute, and whether the overage rate is published anywhere. Several well-known providers publish four prices and no overage rate, and bill it in arrears. Ask for the number in writing before you sign — from them or from us.
Do you do the marketing too, or just the phone?
Both, which is the whole point. An answering service can’t make the phone ring and an agency can’t answer it. We checked every marketing agency and answering service we could find serving this market and not one does both halves.
What happens in a storm week when volume triples?
That’s the week the system is worth what you pay for it — and it is also the week we’re honest about capacity. The audit tells you what your current setup does at 3× volume, which is usually the number that changes minds.
What does it cost?
The Talon Customer Capture System starts at $2,500 per month. No annual contract. You own your website and assets. Paid media is separate. Implementation is $3,500 one time. We’re waiving that implementation fee for the first five Shreveport–Bossier customers we take on — not because five is a magic number, but because five is how many we can measure properly at once. Multi-location and unusually complex builds are quoted individually. Your plan includes 750 qualifying conversations a month, and nothing past that is ever charged without your written approval — we ask first, every time.
The price, on the page.
Of the local agencies we reviewed, not one publishes what they charge. We’re not going to do that to you.
$3,500 one-time implementation.
- — No annual contract. Month to month
- — You own the website and every campaign asset, in your name from day one
- — Paid advertising spend is separate and goes straight from you to the platform
- — Includes 750 qualifying conversations a month — a real person, about something new, that we handled. Spam, hang-ups, wrong numbers, testing, transfers and follow-ups on the same job don’t count. Length never affects price; nothing is billed by the minute and nothing rounds up. Past 750 nothing is charged automatically — we ask, and nothing is charged without your written approval ($75 per block of 100, or a custom plan). A heat wave or freeze that doubles your month is on us, once a year
- — Multi-location or unusually complex builds are quoted individually
We’re waiving the $3,500 implementation for the first five customers here.
Not because five is a magic number — because five is how many we can measure properly at once, and this is a new market for us.
In exchange we ask for ninety days of honest measurement: a baseline before launch, then monthly numbers shared back. If the results are good we may ask for a case study. If they aren’t, we won’t — and you keep the data either way.
The monthly service is $2,500 for everyone, always. We don’t discount it. When the five are taken, this box will say so.

Five questions, under two minutes, no phone call required. The audit lands in three business days.
