Independent pest control · Caddo and Bossier

The independents here sit about
a hundred reviews behind the field.

We counted. The pest control companies serving this metro run a median of 149 Google reviews; the independents we checked sat roughly 104 below that. In a trade where somebody with termites reads the reviews and calls one company, that gap is the whole race — and closing it costs nothing but a process.

No call required, nothing to sign. Five questions, under two minutes.

Figures from our own July 2026 survey of Shreveport–Bossier pest control companies (n=8 with a reachable website). Review counts and medians from the Google Places API. How we measured.
What we actually found

Your work is almost certainly as good. Your review count says otherwise, and that is the only thing the customer sees first.

Individual independent companies we checked were sitting at 32, 45 and 46 Google reviews while the field median in this metro is 149. Nothing about that says the work is worse. It says nobody built the habit of asking — which is free to fix and the single highest-leverage thing on this page.

The gap is the second widest we measured

Across every trade we surveyed in Caddo and Bossier, only one had a wider review deficit between the independents and the field. A customer choosing between 46 reviews and 149 rarely calls both.

Recurring contracts make the leak compound

Most of this trade’s value isn’t the first treatment, it’s the years after it. Which means a missed enquiry isn’t a lost job, it’s a lost annuity — and the same is true in reverse, which is why we set the job-value placeholder in the calculator below deliberately low.

○ Inferred from how the trade is structured, not measured by us

And the measurement problem is everywhere

Of the 160 businesses we checked across this metro, 32 had no analytics, no tag manager and no call tracking of any kind, and 27 had an incomplete Google listing. If that’s you, seasonal swings and marketing problems look identical from the inside.

The honest caveat

Eight companies is a small sample and we’re not going to dress it up as a study — five of the eight carried a defect we could verify, which is a lower rate than several other trades here. What made this trade worth a page is the review gap specifically, and that we measured directly rather than inferred. If we check yours and find your reviews are already where they should be, we will tell you that and recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Run your own numbers

What an unanswered call is worth when the customer becomes a contract.

Move the sliders. The arithmetic stays on screen and we show a range, not a number — one of the inputs is an assumption we can’t source, and pretending otherwise would be the trick everyone else runs.

New enquiries only — not scheduled recurring visits.
27%
Starts at 27% — the home-services figure from Invoca, 2024 vendor data. Pest control is a home service so we apply it here, but it is somebody else’s number about a broad category — replace it with yours the moment you can.
45%
$300
Set very low on purpose — a recurring contract is worth considerably more than this. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong in your favour. Correct it up.
The offer

The Shreveport–Bossier Growth Audit.

A 100-point score across twelve things we check, in three groups: can they find you (50), will they choose you (25), can they actually reach you (25). Run in a real browser at desktop and phone width, then read by a person before anything reaches you. Free, and every finding comes with the steps to verify it yourself.

GET FOUND — 50 pts

Map pack position, Google Business Profile completeness, local pages, and whether ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers know you exist and get you right.

REVIEWS & LISTING — part of Get Found

Review count, rating, velocity, whether anyone answers them, and whether your name, address and phone match everywhere they appear. This is the gate this trade loses most often, and by the widest margin.

GET CHOSEN — 25 pts

Mobile experience, page speed, whether there’s a next step above the fold, and how many taps stand between wanting you and booking you.

THE CONTACT PATH — part of Get Customers

The heaviest gate. How fast a real enquiry gets a real response, what happens after hours, and what happens to a call nobody picked up.

GET CUSTOMERS — 25 pts

Whether a customer can actually reach you, how many taps it takes, and whether you can see any of it happening. The last one is where most of this market loses points.

What you get back — free

Your score, three to five specific findings with verification steps, a revenue-at-risk range, and a fix-first plan separating free DIY from paid work.

How we measured

So you can decide whether to believe any of it.

We loaded each company’s website twice — once at desktop width, once at phone width — in a real browser, and ran nine checks covering indexability, structured data, Google Business Profile completeness, reviews against local peers, mobile layout, page speed, trust signals, the contact path, and conversion tracking.

Review counts and the field median come from the Google Places API. The 149 median is the field as a whole in this metro; the independents we checked sat a median of about 104 below it. A site we could not load, or that blocked us, was recorded as unmeasured rather than as failing — and any check we could not complete scores as unmeasured too, never as zero. That is why an audit reads 43 out of 70 rather than 43 out of 100.

Two findings we asserted during this survey were later retracted on re-checking, before anybody was contacted about them. We mention that because a survey that claims a perfect record is a survey nobody re-checked.

Questions

The ones you’re actually thinking.

Was my company one of the eight?

Ask and we’ll tell you straight. We won’t publish another company’s findings to you, and we won’t publish yours to them — that cuts both ways and it is the only version of this that works in a market this size.

You can’t compare me to a national brand.

Agreed, and where we could tell a national franchise from a local operator we said so. But the customer with termites doesn’t make that distinction — they see two listings and two review counts. The comparison is unfair and it is also what is happening.

Isn’t asking for reviews a bit much?

Asking is fine and it’s what the gap is made of. Incentivising, filtering out unhappy customers, or writing them yourself is not fine, violates Google’s terms, and we won’t set it up — if that’s what you’re after we’re the wrong firm. What we’d hand you is a timing and wording process, free, whether or not you hire us.

What does it cost?

The Talon Customer Capture System starts at $2,500 per month. No annual contract. You own your website and assets. Paid media is separate. Implementation is $3,500 one time. We’re waiving that implementation fee for the first five Shreveport–Bossier customers we take on — not because five is a magic number, but because five is how many we can measure properly at once. Multi-location and unusually complex builds are quoted individually. Your plan includes 750 qualifying conversations a month, and nothing past that is ever charged without your written approval — we ask first, every time.

What it costs

The price, on the page.

Here is what it costs, in full, before you talk to anyone. You should not have to book a call to find out a price.

$2,500per month

$3,500 one-time implementation.

  • — No annual contract. Month to month
  • — You own the website and every campaign asset, in your name from day one
  • — Paid advertising spend is separate and goes straight from you to the platform
  • — Includes 750 qualifying conversations a month — a real person, about something new, that we handled. Spam, hang-ups, wrong numbers, testing, transfers and follow-ups on the same job don’t count. Length never affects price; nothing is billed by the minute and nothing rounds up. Past 750 nothing is charged automatically — we ask, and nothing is charged without your written approval ($75 per block of 100, or a custom plan). A swarm season that doubles your month is on us, once a year
  • — Multi-location or unusually complex builds are quoted individually

We’re waiving the $3,500 implementation for the first five customers here.

Not because five is a magic number — because five is how many we can measure properly at once, and this is a new market for us.

In exchange we ask for ninety days of honest measurement: a baseline before launch, then monthly numbers shared back. If the results are good we may ask for a case study. If they aren’t, we won’t — and you keep the data either way.

The monthly service is $2,500 for everyone, always. We don’t discount it. When the five are taken, this box will say so.
